Justin - From the start of this forumMK, Masha has a small number of very loyal and classy fans. The members "joining" by recent months:
- June 2009 = 3
- August 2009 = 1
- September 2009 = 3 (of which you are one)
- October 2009 so far = 1.

It is also true that a large majority of fans who join and are activated make zero to nine posts. The old 80-20 rule holds here - 20% of the members make 80% (or more) of the posts.

And to be honest, since we had the spam attack that shut us down for over two months, we are being more careful. Don't want you to have the impression that there are hordes of Masha fans being blocked at the gates, simply not the case.

Just checked, actually worse than I had thought. Of 668 members on forumMK, only 53 have made as many as 10 posts. Justin will become #54 shortly. Fully 92% of the members have made 9 or less posts.

Only 94 of the 668 members have even made a post (and there are quite a few that have made only 1 post).

Sad that a lot of the old gang have deserted the fold. But there are always new recruits for Masha's Army, and next year when she wins the USO, there will be even more Smile

Welcome Justin...looking forward to your posts. Did i read correctly that your in canada? I have a good mate moving to vancouver in 3 weeks time for 2 years....he cant wait.

Well, like Jim said, better to have quality over quantity. I think I tried signing up under three different names on the official forum and maybe twice here - when I wasn't getting my account activated and none of inquiries answered I thought that maybe it was my e-mail account that was blocking any response.

I don't know the numbers so I can't presume anything, but I just thought that some members would be like me (wanting to post and not being able to). I never really thought of the 80-20 rule, but that makes sense when I think about it.

Hey Tom, yeah, I'm actually from Toronto, on the east coast. I've never been to Vancouver but I should make it a point to go there some time. Or at least to Whistler, so I can do some snowboarding. Smile
